On Tuesday, May 28, 2024, BINUS University Syahdan Campus host a seminar titled “Membangun Legasi Intelektual: Kiat-Kiat Meraih Paten di Bidang Sosial dan Humaniora,” featuring esteemed speakers Prof. Dr. Shidarta, S.H., M.Hum and Dr. Besar, S.H., M.H. The event commenced at 09.30 AM. The event was notably graced by the presence of Dr. Nurlina, M.M., the Senior Manager of the Research and Technology Transfer Office at BINUS University, who was among the esteemed attendees, representing the operational forefront of research management within the institution. The seminar aims to elucidate how to write a Social Sciences and Humanities Patent. Participants gained a comprehensive understanding of how to get patents in Humaniora, obtain patent protection in Indonesia, and get a copyright in Humaniora.

On Wednesday, May 22, 2024, BINUS University Anggrek Campus host a seminar titled “Level Up Kreativitas: Panduan Praktis Hasilkan HKI Substantif Sesuai Bidang,” featuring esteemed speaker Yoga Prihastomo S.T., M.Kom. The event commenced at 10:00 AM. The seminar aims to elucidate the produce substantive intellectual property Rights (IPR) according to scientific fields. Participants gained a comprehensive understanding of how the types and differences of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and the rights attached to IPR. How the completeness of the documents must be prepared for IPR registration, how to identify potential products that can be IPR in the scientific field of each Faculty member, how to design IPR products that will be produced according to the scientific field, and how the provisions of IPR in the partnership process with industry both in research collaboration and commercialization

This event is called “Afternoon Tea: Demokratisasi Teknologi.” One of the speakers invited to this event was Dr. Rinda Hedwig S. Kom, M.T., the RIG Leader-Photonics and Computer Systems (PCS). This event was hosted by Elioenai Sitepu, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D as the Head of the Commercialization Section. On the 17th of May 2024, Research & Technology Transfer (RTT) organized a research workshop event for BINUS Faculty Members. This Workshop titled “Pemanfaatan SINTA untuk Portofolio Faculty Member”. The event was notably graced by the presence of Prof. Dr. Juneman Abraham, M.Si., who serves as the Vice-Rector for Research and Technology Transfer at BINUS University, highlighting the session’s importance. Dr. Nurlina, M.M., the Senior Manager of the Research and Technology Transfer Office at BINUS University, was among the esteemed attendees, representing the operational forefront of research management within the institution. The discussions were led by Brilly Andro Makalew, S.Kom., M.T.I., who holds the position of Research & empowerment digital Specialist. Elioenai Sitepu, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., holds the position of Commercialization Section Head. Ridhwan Bugiansyah R, S.E., S.Kom., holds the position of Research Roadmap Section Head. Dr. Syauqi Abdurrahman Abrori holds the position of International Publication Section Head. By utilizing SINTA effectively, the Faculty Member can build and manage a comprehensive and impactful academic portfolio, which can enhance the visibility and research impact within the academic community, particularly in Indonesia.
