Abstract
The increased awareness of individual differences in the educational sector leads the government to encourage educational institutions to apply learning and teaching approaches that help facilitate students differences and needs. As a response, education institutions began to use different teaching approaches, and one of them is the Differentiated Instructional approach. To this day, much research has found the positive effects of Differentiated Instruction implementation. However, there is still so little research that analyzes the effect of Differentiated Instruction in Higher Education settings while knowing that students in higher education are more diverse than in other educational settings, and therefore poses more challenges in facilitating students differences and needs. Based on these premises, this study aimed to evaluate the implementation of Differentiated Instruction in higher education. This study consists of three study series that use quantitative and qualitative research methods and involves educators and students throughout Indonesia. The result of this study is expected to encourage educational institutions to implement Differentiated Instruction and provide depictions of the implementation of Differentiated Instruction in higher education.
