Title

Computational Intelligencefor Decision Making

Abstract
Machine learning as a computer algorithmpermits the computer to automatically learn and dynamically improve its abilities and knowledgefromdata. Most ofmachinelearning algorithms result in intelligent models specialized on the domains where the training and testing data come from. The approaches utilized inmachine learning algorithms are usually hardly generating the models fully from the data without having some domain knowledge. This research focuses on the development of machine learning algorithmthat permits for the inclusion of domain expert knowledge into the process of intelligent model building. Several issues related to including a domain expert into the modelling process will be explored and a new treebased algorithmwill be developed in a number ofapplications. Amixture of domain expert knowledgeand machinelearning will beableto provide many superioradvantages in the data-drivenmodelling and for datasciencein general. This research focuses on advanced developments of computational intelligence covering artificial neural networks, hierarchical tree models, mixture of models, optimization, and process mining. In process mining, a business performance can be enhanced through modeling and analysis tool. This research willexplore several process mining algorithms with various applications. Using event log data with timestamps, process mining algorithms, like inductive miner and fuzzy miner were able to automatically generate business processes, checking the conformance between the actual processes and the predefined standard ones, and identify and solveany bottlenecksand issues in thecurrent business processes. Specifically, this research will consider some issues, like process delays, stagnant workflow, mismanagement, faulty production, and labor insufficiency. The expected research results will be able to provide automated decision making that could solve several recent problems in the world.
