Abstract
Mobile technology advancement nowadays has greatly impacted education sector. High school students have recognized as native digital. They learn through their gadget like mobile phone, tablet, and Ipad. This study examined the readiness factor for high school students to learn through their gadget. Technolgy does not guarantee effectiveness use in education; certain factor should take into consideration. Six dimensions of learner readiness have been developing and based on survey and scale these of the important factor in learner readiness; self-efficacy, self-directed learning, computer playfulness, perceived enjoyment, subjective Norm and Content quality. The study reveals that students have high confidence in using technology, but they lack self-directed learning. This will imply how to design mobile learning system for high school students.
