Abstract
Covid-19 is a respiratory disease that is spread through droplets from coughs and sneezes. This is caused by the spread of aerosols that remain infectious when suspended in the air over long distances and time. Since viruses have a tendency to stay around for long periods of time, it makes confined spaces more dangerous and contagious than outdoor areas. This can be overcome by adjusting the air ratio in the ventilation system. Ventilation is one of the important factors to prevent the spread of Covid-19, especially indoors. This research produces a prototype air quality detector using sensors and a microcontroller. Research development is carried out by adding air quality data monitoring features through the Internet of Things (IoT) platform using the cost-sensitive decision tree method. The cost-sensitive decision tree method is used to adjust the ventilation system of the room so that people in the room remain comfortable and healthy and minimize the use of energy needed so that it affects the costs incurred.
