Abstract
The gen Y employees in the workplace have different expectations, perceptions and motivations from other generations. Indonesian gen Y employees are considered more optimistic in their work than Indonesian gen X employees. Every employee including gen Y needs motivation with the result they can provide optimal performance. Motivation is the driving factor for the individual to act something.
