Abstract
The demographical change in current workforce has shifted the workforce?s generational composition in various countries. Indonesia as one of developing country currently possesses 120.647.697 workforces which altogether dominated by Boomers, X and Y generations. The research will be conducted in three years from 2017-2019. In the first year it aim to understand each generation?s work value using five dimensions of work value by Twenge et al (2010) includes extrinsic rewards, intrinsic rewards, social rewards, leisure rewards and altruistic rewards. By understanding each of generation?s work values, leaders of the organization will have information about the generational expectations toward the job. Furthermore, in second year this study also aims to investigate human resources issues of each generational workforce from the organization?s perspective. These issues will be investigated through each activities of human resources start from acquiring until retaining process. By this, the third year of this study will develop strategies of human resources management based on the gap found in the first and second year. In result, this study will help organization to develop policies, and system which not only supports each generation?s desires at work but also accommodates organization?s needs.
