Abstract
When Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) was released, many educators believed that students would prefer to study in groups, and that social facilitation within the study groups can make learning into a pleasing experience. This research tries to investigate the effectiveness of study in groups using MOOC platform where people can interact each other. The study was conducted on English subject classroom. Most of research subjects reported an average level of satisfaction with the study group style. The research reveals that students are not too interested with the social media like learning. They have difficulties to maintain and committed to interact between its members. Watching MOOC requires a balance between synchronization, video interaction, and the amount of conversation. And this research shows that the particular type of students has not been able to accept MOOC as their style of learning.
