Abstract
Education, being afundamentalaspect in every child, is defined as “the knowledge or skill obtained or developed by learning process. Children may receive education formally a school or other institutions, or from families and relatives, which then builds their cognitive and behavioral development. Children areas complex as adults in many aspects, and as such educating themmay proveto beachallengeat times. Understanding their behaviour will reveal what is called as “teachable moments, which is a period when they are most receptiveto learning. Understanding these moments and taking advantage of themiscrucial in the process ofeducatingchildren. The COVID-19 pandemic had had an impact on the education systems. Schools and institutions were forced to adopt online learning, as face-to-face learningbecameimpossibleto conduct. This brought upon discussionsand studies on theeffects on theireducation. Fromtheconcerns of prolonged gadget usagewhichmay lead to addiction and other mentaland social issues, to the validated worry of the unpreparedness ofeducators to conduct their teachings remotely. Some of the load of the educating thus fell upon the parents and guardians, who, due to lack of experience to guide children through formal schooling, causefurther worry that thechildrenweren’t receivingthe quality ofeducation they deserve. After two years of pandemic, many education institutions came to adopt what is known as hybrid learning, a process where part of the schooling is conducted online, and part is conducted in person. This hybrid mode of learning requires participation from both teachers and parents/guardians, using various applications on computers and/or gadgets. And despitethe progress madein theimprovement of onlineand hybrid learning, thereare yet many aspects that are not optimal. This research is meant to analysethecurrent models of onlineand hybrid learning, and to provide potential improvements upon them, particularly for early year students ranging from the lower elementary classes
