Abstract
The purpose of this research is to examine the role of management system standards and multinational supply chains in achieving SDG targets. This is relates to the United Nations (UN) that has set-up seventeen sustainable development goals (SDGs) to be achieved by 2030 globally. This ambitious target can be accomplished with the help of international management system standards (MSS), such as ISO standards, because these standards directly contribute to these goals. Multinational enterprises (MNEs) also proliferate these requirements in their supply chains. . This research use Empirical questionnaire method that is conducted among 264 Indian manufacturing organizations based on their certification status and MNE supplier status. Comparison of these organizations is carried out on three parameters namely, number of targets for each sustainable development goal (SDG), fulfilment levels of these targets, and extension ofestablished targets further in the supply chain.
