Abstract
The world has faced multiplechallenges, such as food security and climatechange. Many countriesespecially developing countries, have been attempting to counter these problems. Indonesiais one ofthecountries that has focused on food resiliencein securing essentialconsumption such as riceand fishery in theformofMina Padi. Mina Padiisacultivation technology thatcombines integrated farming between fish farming and rice plants in acultivation systemin one ricefield plot. Mina Padiintends to increasethe profitability and productivity ofricefieldsand realizefood sovereignty. This paperattempts to assess theinfluence ofMina Padi on the welfare oftherural population and examinethesustainability Mina Padi project by analyzing technological use. Acasestudywasconducted inYogyakarta Province. By using primary and secondary data, this paper finally finds that Mina Padi positively impacts the welfare offarmers' householdsand fish traders, negatively impacting ricetraders. Theacceleration ofthe harvest period, thetheft offish, the presence of predatory animals,and the difficulty ofselling cropsaffect profitability. Nevertheless, thecommunity continued the Mina Padi dueto community encouragementand governmentassistance.
