Abstract
This research will analyze the process of identity construction through self-presentation of video blog in Youtube platform. The object of analysis is the Youtube channel of Daniel Howell. Daniel Howell's channel is chosen as the object of the study for it's reputation and huge amounts of subscribers. The data are in the form of video blogs which are produced by Daniel Howell and uploaded on his Youtube channel. The video blogs are considered as a narrative which is presumed to be the implication of the video blogger's real life experience. The observation focuses on (1) the verbal, visual and multimodal attributes used by the video blogger to construct his identity and (2) the role of the video blogs to effectively transfer the video blogger communicative intentions and the interpretation from the viewers. The cyberpragmatics approach is used to examine the identity construction and the communicative intentions and interpretation of the video blog
