Abstract
As a center of resident activity, the city requires the provision of facilities and pre-facilities that are compatible with user characteristics. The city's development is shaped by the desire to meet residents' needs, which is reflected in the architecture and interior design. The purpose of this research is to explore indigenous knowledge and wisdom in Pasar Baru Jakarta that contribute to the creation of a sustainable urban escape for interior design and architecture. It is necessary to investigate the evolution of new methods while maintaining indigenous wisdom as the primary value for creating creative works in research. The research employs a qualitative visual narrative method with the goal of exploring indigenous knowledge and wisdom in Pasar Baru Jakarta in order to create a sustainable urban escape for interior and architecture. Through the use of storytelling techniques and the exploration of new methods, the goal of this research is to elevate the value of Indonesian knowledge and wisdom in order for it to fit contemporary lifestyles and be appreciated by the younger generation.
