Presidential Forum and NUNI Board Meeting 2024: Strengthening Academic Partnerships

On August 25, 2024, Universitas Sumatera Utara hosted the Presidential Forum and NUNI Board Meeting, gathering academic leaders and representatives from various institutions. BINUS University was represented by Dr. Nelly, S.Kom., M.M., Rector of BINUS University, Prof. Dr. Juneman Abraham, S.Psi., M.Si., Vice Rector of Research & Technology Transfer, and Prof. Idris Gautama So, M.M., Ph.D., Secretary of NUNI. The event featured a keynote address by the Rectorate of Universitas Sumatera Utara, who shared the insights on the future of higher education in Indonesia.

During the meeting, Dr. Nelly, as Chair of the Partnership Board, led the discussion on the historical journey of NUNI, with a brief report presented by Prof. Dr. Ir. Y. Budi Widianarko, M.Sc., the Chair of NUNI’s Management. The session highlighted key developments within NUNI and explored strategic initiatives to strengthen partnerships among member institutions. The discussion also covered various issues related to the Partnership Board, emphasizing collaboration and mutual support among universities.

NUNI Annual Meeting was also conducted under the leadership of the NUNI Management Chair. The agenda included a detailed report on NUNI’s activities throughout 2024, followed by the Partnership Board’s directives concerning NUNI’s 2024 programs. Key topics discussed included the organization’s bylaws, the admission of new members, membership dues, and the formation of an advisory board, laying the groundwork for NUNI’s future direction.
