BINUS University and PT Garudafood Launch Marungga Nutri Bites to Combat Stunting in East Nusa Tenggara

BINUS University and PT Garudafood have recently launched an innovative biscuit product called Marungga Nutri Bites to address the issue of stunting in young children, particularly in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara. This product was introduced during the InaRI Expo 2024, organized by the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) in Cibinong, Bogor. The event provided an ideal platform for showcasing solutions aimed at improving child nutrition and preventing stunting, a critical public health issue in Indonesia. 

Marungga Nutri Bites is the brainchild of Prof. Ir. Ingrid Suryanti Surono, M.Sc., Ph.D., a distinguished lecturer in Food Technology at BINUS University. Her expertise in food science has led to the development of this specialized biscuit, which is designed to provide essential nutrients to toddlers. By incorporating local ingredients, the product supports not only the health of children but also local economies, fostering sustainable development in the region. 

This collaboration between BINUS University and PT Garudafood demonstrates the power of partnerships in addressing national health challenges.
