Effective Strategies to Increase Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of Scientific Works
On July 24, 2024, the Research and Technology Transfer (RTT) department and Binus Corporate Learning and Development (BCLND) of BINUS University organized a seminar titled “Effective Strategies to Increase Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of Scientific Works.” The seminar was held at the Research Innovation Labs, BINUS University Anggrek Campus. The event aimed to provide valuable insights and practical strategies for researchers and academics to enhance the TRL of their scientific research and innovations.
The seminar featured Elioenai Sitepu, Ph.D., the Commercialization Section Head of the Research and Technology Transfer department at BINUS University, as the keynote speaker. Dr. Sitepu shared his extensive knowledge and experience in the commercialization of scientific research, focusing on methods to advance the TRL of research projects. His presentation covered essential aspects such as identifying market needs, developing prototypes, and securing funding and partnerships to bring scientific innovations closer to commercialization.
The event commenced with an opening speech by Dr. Nurlina, M.M., the Research Office Senior Manager at BINUS University. Dr. Nurlina emphasized the importance of increasing the TRL of scientific works to bridge the gap between research and practical application. She highlighted the university’s commitment to fostering innovation and supporting researchers in their efforts to translate their research into market-ready technologies. The seminar provided attendees with practical guidance and inspiration to elevate their research projects to higher levels of technological readiness.
