Comprehensive Introduction to Sona System: Enhancing Research Management at BINUS University

On July 16, 2024, an online workshop titled “Sosialisasi Sona System” was held, featuring Justin Fidler, the Founder and CEO of Sona System, as the main speaker, and his team. Sona Systems is a renowned leader in participant pool management software, boasting a global user base of over 7.2 million. This platform enables researchers at universities to create and manage their own participant pools, conduct lab and online studies, and compensate participants with either credit or cash. The workshop aimed to familiarize BINUS University faculty members with the Sona System and its applications in academic research. The event commenced with an opening speech by Prof. Dr. Juneman Abraham, M.Si., Vice Rector of Research and Technology Transfer at BINUS University, who emphasized the importance of integrating advanced tools into academic research.

The event was moderated by two distinguished members of BINUS University: Anzaludin Samsinga Perbangsa, S.Kom., MMSI., the Ethics Section Head of the Research and Technology Transfer division, and Hilda Farida, S.P., M.Sc., the Research Enrichment Section Head. Both moderators played a crucial role in facilitating the session, ensuring a smooth flow of information, and addressing any questions or concerns from the participants. Their expertise in research and technology transfer provided valuable insights and contributed to the overall success of the workshop.

With BINUS University planning to integrate the Sona System into all its academic activities, this workshop served as a pivotal step in the transition process. Justin Fidler’s presentation not only highlighted the features and benefits of the Sona System but also demonstrated its practical applications in enhancing research efficiency and effectiveness.
