Advancing Research Utilization: Highlights from the Hilirisasi Riset Event at BINUS University

On May 13, 2024, BINUS University hosted an important event focused on research downstreaming, also known as “Hilirisasi Riset.” The event took place at the Research & Innovation Lab at BINUS Anggrek, providing a platform for discussing and promoting the effective utilization of research outcomes. The session was opened by Prof. Dr. Juneman Abraham, M.Si., Vice Rector for Research and Technology Transfer at BINUS University, who set the stage for a series of insightful presentations and discussions.

The keynote address was delivered by Elioenai Sitepu, Ph.D., the Section Head of IPR and Commercialization within the Research and Technology Transfer division at BINUS University. Dr. Sitepu focused on the key performance indicators for technology utilization and product commercialization for the current year. He outlined the methodologies and metrics used to evaluate these indicators, providing a comprehensive overview of how the university’s research efforts are translating into practical and commercial applications.

A significant aspect of the discussion was the introduction and use of the BRIDGE platform for reporting. This platform is designed to streamline and enhance the reporting process, ensuring that data on technology use and product commercialization is accurately captured and efficiently managed. The event was attended by faculty members from BINUS, who benefited from understanding these new tools and methodologies, ultimately supporting their efforts in driving research outputs towards market readiness and societal impact.
