Exploring Research Collaboration with Monash University, Australia

On December 5, 2023, Prof. Dr. Juneman Abraham, M.Si. the Vice Rector Research and Technology Transfer at Binus University, engaged in a Zoom meeting with several representatives from Monash University, Melbourne, Australia. Among those present were Andrew Jaspan and Eve Anderson from 360info, a global media hosted by Monash. They work closely and report directly to Monash’s Provost and Senior Vice-President.

Moderated by senior Indonesian journalist Ria Ernunsari, the meeting aimed to explore research collaboration in the field of science communication. Science communication stands as one of the five new focal points under the leadership of Vice Rector Abraham from 2023 to 2028. His strong passion lies in making the scholarly works of BINUS University’s faculty, whether indexed in Scopus or not, accessible to the public. These works will be presented in popular and easily understandable verbal or visual formats.

This initiative is aimed at ensuring that the research conducted by BINUS faculty, researchers, and inventors has a tangible impact on society, aligning with BINUS University’s vision of “Fostering and Empowering Nusantara.
