Higher Education Clustering for Universities in Indonesia

On March 8, 2023, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology announced the higher education clustering for universities in Indonesia. Among the recognized institutions, BINUS University was proudly placed in the highest cluster – the Mandiri Cluster. This distinction is awarded to universities with an A/Unggul accreditation and a SINTA score that falls within the top 5% percentile in Indonesia.

To determine the universities that qualify for the Mandiri Cluster, the Ministry uses a comprehensive set of criteria that includes institutional performance, intellectual property, research, publication, community service, human resources, and revenue generating. Among these criteria, publication holds the highest weight in the assessment.

This recognition of BINUS University’s achievement in research and innovation is a testament to the university’s commitment to academic excellence. It is also an acknowledgement of the dedication and hard work of the BINUS faculty members and leaders who have made significant contributions to the university’s success.
