RoSaNa Food Serving Robot and Industrial Partnership

Binus University invited several industry partners to come on RoSaNa Food Serving Robot demonstration on March 3, 2023, at Binus University Anggrek Campus. The event was held on Hotel Management Laboratory Binus University and attended by Prof. Dr. Tirta N. Mursitama, Ph.D., Vice Rector Research and Technology Transfer (VR RTT), Dr. Nurlina, M.M., Research Strategy and Policy Manager, Dr. Arif Zulkarnain, S.E., M.M., CHE, Head of Program Business Hotel Management, Dr. Ratna Sari, M.MSI, Binus Collaboration and Agus Edy Sutomo, Alumni Relation Office Manager were among other invitees.

Irene Lim, Tiffany Eunice and Ezra Redo Jawentius from Orang Tua Group, Kartika, Tafarrel F. Pramono, and Alfonsus G. Chrisanto from PT. Sayap Mas Utama, Budhi Indratmo from Uno Parking system & Hardware Equipment, and Bevrick Ekaputra from Usana Health Service were industry partners that were invited to see the demonstration. The event began with the welcoming address by VR RTT and followed by the introduction of RoSaNa Food Serving Robot by Dr. Rinda Hedwig M.T. from Research Interest Group Photonic and Computer Systems (RIG PCS). RoSaNa (Food Serving Robot) is a joint research between USC UKRIDA and RIG PCS Binus University and the Binus University Hotel Management Study Program.

This robotic arm is not built specifically to serve meatballs and it can be developed to do other food serving with a customized table design. It is expected to develop more collaboration between Binus University and industry partners to foster and empower the society.
