On May 12, 2026, the Department of Research and Technology Transfer (RTT) at BINUS University, in collaboration with Binus Corporate Learning and Development (BCLND) successfully organized an online workshop entitled Workshop Book Chapter Proposal “From Manuscript to Published Chapter: Navigating the Editorial Process” This event featured insightful coaching sessions delivered by distinguished speaker, notably Prof. Dr. Ir. Hotniar Siringoringo, M.Sc., IPU., National Grant Proposal Reviewer, Coordinator of Gunadarma’s LPPM, and Lecturer in Industrial Engineering and Management at Gunadarma University.
The workshop was designed to equip participants with the ability to evaluate proposal drafts using DIKTI scoring rubrics to improve proposal quality and increase funding success rates. Participants were also guided in understanding the structure, objectives, and evaluation criteria of DIKTI research grant schemes, as well as identifying research topics and problem statements aligned with national research priorities and DIKTI focus areas. Furthermore, the session enabled participants to analyze DIKTI grant guidelines to determine proposal scope, eligibility, and required components.

The workshop was designed to equip participants with a comprehensive understanding of the essential components of an academic manuscript in accordance with editorial guidelines. Participants were guided in responding constructively to editorial feedback and gaining insights into current trends shaping academic publishing. Furthermore, the session provided strategies for building long-term relationships with editors and publishers.

The workshop was designed to equip participants with a comprehensive understanding of how to elaborate on and present applied research ideas for government grants. Participants were guided in explaining the structure, objectives, and evaluation criteria of DIKTI research grant schemes, as well as in identifying research topics and problem statements aligned with national research priorities and DIKTI focus areas.
