The Role of Binus University in Shaping Indonesia’s National AI Strategy

Pada 17 April 2025, Prof. Dr. Juneman Abraham mewakili BINUS University dalam diskusi nasional Strategi dan Roadmap AI Indonesia yang diselenggarakan Kementerian Komdigi. On 17 April 2025, the Directorate of Artificial Intelligence and New Technology Ecosystems, under the Directorate General of Digital Ecosystems – Ministry of Communication and Digital, organized a national discussion on the development of Indonesia’s National Strategy and Roadmap for Artificial Intelligence (AI). The event, opened by Aju Widya Sari, Director of Artificial Intelligence and New Technology Ecosystems, focused on identifying AI research priorities and regulatory needs, including governance frameworks and sandbox models for emerging technologies. Key participants included representatives from government ministries, national research agencies, and leading universities, underscoring the critical collaboration between the public sector and academia in advancing AI in Indonesia.
