BINUS Book Review: Exploring Indonesia’s Dynamic Business Landscape

The BINUS Book Review event held on November 26th, 2024, showcased Business in Indonesia, authored by Dr. Marko S. Hermawan. Organized collaboratively by BINUS Press, Library Knowledge Center (LKC), Knowledge Management and Innovation (KMI), and Binus Media Publishing (BMP), led by Dr. Joice Yulinda Yuke, Section Head International Book and Conference, the event took place at the Faculty Lounge, BINUS Anggrek. The session featured a welcome speech by Prof. Dr. Juneman Abraham, S.Psi., Vice Rector Research and Technology Transfer BINUS Univercity while Dr. Rianto Nurcahyo, M.M., served as the moderator and Ancellmus Mario Taruliasi, S.H.Int., as the Master of Ceremony. Participants included faculty members, students, and external guests, with those asking questions receiving signed copies of the book from the author.

The textbook Business in Indonesia offers a comprehensive exploration of Indonesia’s economic and business landscape, providing critical insights for students, practitioners, and researchers. Authored by Dr. Marko S. Hermawan and Ubaidillah Nugraha, the latest version incorporates macro- and micro-economic perspectives, addressing themes such as ethical business practices, human resource management, entrepreneurship, and MSME development. Updated chapters examine Indonesia’s global economic position, the prevalence of corruption, and industrial sector mapping, complemented by analyses of the COVID-19 pandemic’s impact.
