Collaboration for Change: Strengthening Community Engagement Synergy at BINUS Partner Areas
On October 3, 2024, Research and Technology Transfer BINUS University organized an online workshop to foster collaboration and engagement within its partner areas. The event featured Dr. Pantri Heriyati, S.E., M.Comm., as the speaker, and was attended by faculty members from BINUS. The workshop aimed to align academic expertise with community development efforts by encouraging greater faculty involvement in community outreach.
The focus of the workshop was to guide participants in identifying the specific needs and potential of the seven BINUS partner areas, including the flagship “Binus Bangun Desa” initiative. Faculty members were invited to explore sustainable community service programs that not only address these needs but also promote long-term welfare improvements for residents in these regions. The collaborative approach emphasizes the importance of leveraging academic insights to design impactful interventions.
Through interactive sessions, the workshop highlighted key strategies for program development, ensuring that proposed initiatives align with both the university’s mission and the community’s aspirations. Participants discussed best practices for developing targeted engagement activities that foster meaningful social change, with the goal of enhancing synergy between academia and local communities.
