BINUS University Hosts ICOSBE 2026 to Advance Resilient and Sustainable Business Ecosystems

The 3rd International Conference on Sustainable Business and Entrepreneurship (ICOSBE) 2026 was successfully held on 16 July 2026 at BINUS @Alam Sutera in a hybrid format (onsite and online). Under the theme “Resilient Business Ecosystems: Innovation, Digitalization, and Sustainability in Uncertain Times“, the conference brought together academics, researchers, practitioners and government representatives from various institutions to discuss and share insights on sustainable business and entrepreneurship.

Pre-Conference: Building Momentum Toward ICOSBE 2026

Ahead of the main event, the ICOSBE 2026 Pre-Conference drew more than 100 participants joining via Zoom, reflecting strong enthusiasm for the series of activities leading up to the conference. The session on publication opportunities through book chapters attracted particular interest, giving participants a clearer picture of how to turn their research into high-quality scholarly output.

Opening Ceremony: A Call for Innovation and Collaboration

The Opening Ceremony began with Welcoming Remarks from Prof. Dr. Juneman Abraham, S.Psi., M.Si., Vice Rector of Research and Technology Transfer, BINUS University, who emphasized the importance of research, innovation and technology transfer in building resilient and sustainable business ecosystems.

This was followed by Opening Remarks from Dr. Drs. Agustinus Dedy Handrimurtjahjo, M.B.M., CPC., Chairman of ICOSBE 2026, who welcomed all keynote speakers, panelists, researchers and participants, and encouraged everyone to strengthen collaboration, foster innovation and leverage digital transformation to address global challenges.

The session continued with remarks from M. Fathul Fauzy Nurdin, M.I.Kom., Regent of Bantaeng Regency and a BINUS University alumnus, who shared insights on leadership, collaboration and regional development through innovation. The session also included the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between BINUS University and the Government of Bantaeng Regency, South Sulawesi, reflecting continued collaboration in education and research.

Panel Discussions: Exchanging Ideas on Resilient and Sustainable Business

Panel Discussion 1 brought together academics and practitioners to explore the challenges and opportunities in building resilient business ecosystems through innovation, digital transformation and cross-sector collaboration.

Panel Discussion 2 continued the conversation, examining sustainable business development, entrepreneurship and technology utilization through an interactive session that encouraged active idea exchange between participants and speakers.

Closing Ceremony

ICOSBE 2026 concluded with a Closing Ceremony as a moment of appreciation for all speakers, participants, partners and committee members who contributed to the success of the conference.

Through ICOSBE 2026, BINUS University reaffirmed its commitment to fostering international collaboration, producing impactful research and supporting the development of a resilient, innovative and sustainable business ecosystem.
