Seminar Recap – Exploring NVivo for Research Excellence

Kegiatan “Applying NVivo in Mixed-Methods Research” diselenggarakan pada 26 Juni 2025 di Ruang 722 (Computer Laboratory), BINUS Kampus Anggrek. Kegiatan ini menghadirkan Agustinus Bandur, Ph.D. (Doctor in Research Management BINUS University) sebagai narasumber, yang menjelaskan penerapan aplikasi NVivo dalam penelitian mixed methods. Melalui pelatihan ini, para peserta—yang terdiri dari dosen dan peneliti—mempelajari bagaimana menggunakan berbagai fitur NVivo untuk menganalisis data ilmiah yang bersumber dari media sosial, catatan lapangan, wawancara, audio-video, survei, hingga artikel jurnal. Selain itu, peserta juga diperkenalkan pada teknik visualisasi data dalam bentuk Tree Map, Word Cloud, Concept Map, Mind Map, dan Project Map sebagai upaya meningkatkan kualitas analisis riset dan penulisan artikel ilmiah.

The workshop “Applying NVivo in Mixed-Methods Research” was conducted on June 26, 2025, at Room 722 (Computer Laboratory), BINUS Anggrek Campus. The session was led by Agustinus Bandur, Ph.D. (Doctor in Research Management BINUS University) who provided an in-depth explanation of how the NVivo software can be effectively applied in mixed-methods research to support the writing of high-quality scientific articles.

During the session, participants—comprising faculty members and researchers—were introduced to various NVivo functions that facilitate the analysis of data from multiple sources such as social media, field notes, interviews, audio and video recordings, surveys and academic journal articles. The workshop also explored scientific data visualization techniques, including Tree Maps, Word Clouds, Concept Maps, Mind Maps and Project Maps, which can enhance analytical depth and improve research reporting. This activity aimed to strengthen research capacity and equip academics with digital tools to advance evidence-based scholarship.
