Strategic Collaboration for Innovation: MoU Signing between BINUS University, Universitas Diponegoro, and SCCR Indonesia

Pada 24 April 2025, BINUS University, Universitas Diponegoro, dan SCCR Indonesia menandatangani MoU dan perjanjian kerja sama di Semarang. Kolaborasi ini mencakup pengembangan Tri Dharma, magang, seminar, dan kurikulum, menegaskan komitmen bersama dalam inovasi pendidikan, penelitian translasional, dan penguatan sinergi akademik-industri.

On 24 April 2025, Bina Nusantara (BINUS) University, Universitas Diponegoro (Undip), and Stem Cell and Cancer Research (SCCR) Indonesia formalized their collaboration through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and Cooperation Agreements at the Undip Campus in Semarang. This initiative seeks to promote innovation through synergistic partnerships in education, research, and industry. The MoU includes two main agreements: (1) a collaboration between Undip and SCCR Indonesia focusing on the development of Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi (education, research, and community service), and (2) a cooperation agreement between BINUS University and SCCR Indonesia covering student internships, seminars, workshops, and curriculum development.
The ceremony was marked by remarks from key leaders. Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, Rector of Undip, emphasized the shared vision of all stakeholders, stating, “We are committed for humanity and to the community. Integrity is essential in science and behavior.” Similarly, Dr. Nelly, Rector of BINUS University, affirmed that the collaboration signifies both an honor and a shared commitment to advance academic and industry connections. Agung Putra, Founder and Commissioner of SCCR Indonesia, expressed appreciation for the efforts of higher education institutions in enhancing human resource capacities.
Representing BINUS University’s research and innovation leadership, Prof. Dr. Juneman Abraham, Vice Rector for Research & Technology Transfer, attended the event alongside Prof. Dr. Nesti F. Sianipar, Head of the Food Biotechnology Research Center. Their presence highlighted BINUS University’s strategic focus on translational research and biotechnology. Also present were Stephen Wahyudi Santoso and Prof. Dr. Harjanto Prabowo, respectively President and Vice President of BINUS Higher Education & Professional Services; Dr. Fredy Purnomo, Director of BINUS @Semarang; and Johan, Vice Rector of Global Employability & Entrepreneurship. The event drew participation from Undip faculty members and the SCCR Indonesia team, reinforcing a shared commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration.
