Empowering LPDP Scholars with an Anti-Corruption Mindset
On January 6, 2025, the 247th batch of Lembaga Pengelola Dana Pendidikan (LPDP) scholars, known as “Cimpago,” gathered at the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia for a pre-departure briefing. The batch name, “Cimpago,” is inspired by the Minangkabau term for the fragrant Cempaka flower, symbolizing the group’s shared vision and aspirations. A key highlight of the event was the session led by Prof. Dr. Juneman Abraham, S.Psi., Vice Rector of Research and Technology Transfer at BINUS University.
Prof. Juneman delivered an insightful discourse on fostering a culture of anti-corruption, emphasizing its crucial role in academic and professional environments. His session underscored the importance of integrity as a foundation for scholarly pursuits and ethical leadership, aligning with LPDP’s mission to nurture globally competitive and morally grounded scholars. The lecture provided practical frameworks and strategies for the participants to embody transparency and accountability in their future endeavors.
LPDP manages endowments in education, including the Research, Culture, and Higher Education Endowment Funds, as mandated by Presidential Decree No. 111 of 2021. Through collaborations with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, the Ministry of Religion, and BRIN, LPDP supports the advancement of Indonesia’s human capital. Prof. Juneman’s session aligned seamlessly with this vision, preparing Batch 247 to contribute responsibly and effectively to national and global development.
