BINUS University Hosts the 6th Anniversary of Indonesia AI Society (IAIS): Advancing AI Research and Innovation

BINUS University FX Senayan Campus hosted the 6th Anniversary of the Indonesia AI Society (IAIS) on January 24, 2025, underscoring its commitment to advancing artificial intelligence research and innovation. The event featured opening remarks by Prof. Dr. Juneman Abraham, S.Psi., Vice Rector for Research and Technology Transfer at BINUS University, and Dr. Ir. Lukas, S.T., MAI., CISA., IPU., Chairperson of IAIS. The agenda included the IAIS Outlook 2025, a review of IAIS Achievements in 2024, and a panel discussion on The Future Trend of AI in 2025, reflecting critical developments and projections in the field.

The event gathered distinguished academics and professionals specializing in AI and technology transfer. Key participants included Hendy Risdianto Wijaya, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., a technology transfer specialist, and Samuel Mahatmaputra T, S.Kom., M.Info.Tech., Dean of the School of Computing and Creative Arts, who also served on the organizing committee. Nunung Nurul Qomariyah, S.Kom., M.T.I., Ph.D., and Dr. Indrajani, S.Kom., M.M., both faculty members of BINUS University, contributed to the discussions. IAIS leadership members, including Ikhlas Bahar (Secretary General) and Dr. Eka Budiarto, S.T., M.Sc. (Treasurer), also participated, reinforcing IAIS’s role in shaping Indonesia’s AI landscape.

The panel discussion, The Future Trend of AI in 2025, provided insights into the latest advancements, challenges, and applications of AI, fostering collaboration among academia, industry, and policymakers. By highlighting key achievements from 2024 and outlining future objectives, the event reaffirmed IAIS’s strategic direction and its synergy with BINUS University’s research and innovation initiatives.
