Scopus Indexed Book: How You Can Make It

What an incredible gathering of minds at RTTO recent workshop on Scopus-indexed book publishing: How You Can Make It. It was an engaging insightful talk and discussions by Annapurna Singha, B.A., M.A., M.Phil., Ph. D, as the prominent speaker on December 13, 2024. Our distinguished speaker shared invaluable insights into the journey of creating Scopus-indexed books. The workshop exceeded expectations with around 35 participants from different disciplines, who curiously learn about Scopus Indexed book publication, within 2 hours of intensive knowledge sharing. The event was hosted by Dr. Joice Yulinda Luke, M.Hum., International Book and Conference, at Research Innovation Lab (RIL), BINUS Anggrek Campus, with hybrid participation options that allowed BINUS faculty member attendees to join virtually from different locations.

The day was packed with opening remarks from Vice Rector Research and Technology Transfer, Prof. Juneman Abraham, S. Psi, who address the importance of increasing visibility of research work globally and validating the quality of research publication through strict evaluation criteria for contributing to university ranking (as QS ranking) and academic standing. The event moderated by Dr. Joice Yulinda Luke, S.Pd., M. Hum, Section Head of International Book and Conference-RTTO in bilingual language, English and Indonesian, for faciltating better comprehension for BINUS audiences with varying language proficiency. Then, Dr. Singha, chaired her brilliant and authentic sessions on Scopus Indexed Book: How You Can Make It by focusing on six valuable points the author should do such as Understanding types of manuscripts, Choosing the best Scopus book publishers, writing book proposals, Responding to publisher reviews positively, Editing and proofreading the manuscript, Submitting the final manuscript.
This workshop addressed the growing need for quality academic publishing guidance, especially in an era where research impact is increasingly important. Participants left with practical strategies and a deeper understanding of the Scopus indexing process for book publication. For faculty members who have been participated will receive a workshop recording link and the speaker’s presentation content.
