BYFest 2024 – Paper Competition: Celebrating Academic Excellence and Innovation
The BYFest – Paper Competition, held on October 17-18, 2024, at BINUS Kemanggisan, marked the grand finale of this prestigious event. Featuring the final presentations of 10 exceptional finalists, each showcasing their impressive scientific papers, the competition concluded successfully. The presentations were judged by Dr. Arta Moro Sundjaja, S.Kom., S.E., M.M., CDMS, and Dr. Yanti, S.Kom., M.M., who provided valuable insights and constructive feedback to the participants. Among these talented individuals, three outstanding winners emerged: 1st place went to Ephraim Ryan Pranata (Film Major), 2nd place to Siti Nadia (Management), and 3rd place to Albert Kurniawan, Melanie Gabriela Tjandrasubrata, and Alicia Tandianto (Computer Science).

The journey to the finals began in May 2024 with an open call for participants, attracting 100 registrants eager to make their mark. Following a rigorous selection process and dedicated mentoring sessions from August to September, the competition culminated in a semi-final round that determined the top 10 finalists. The final presentations took place on October 17, leading to the much-anticipated award ceremony on October 18. The event was closed by Prof. Dr. Juneman Abraham, S.Psi., Vice Rector for Research and Technology Transfer at BINUS University, who delivered an inspiring closing speech. Together with Dr. Ir. Yohannes Kurniawan, MMSI., Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Prof. Juneman also presented prizes to the competition winners.
As part of the BINUS Youth Festival, this competition aims to inspire students to delve deeper into research, fostering an environment of continuous innovation and academic excellence.
