BINUS University Hosts Editors in Chief Meeting to Enhance Journal Support

On November 6, 2024, an online meeting was held by the Research and Technology Transfer BINUS University, led by Prof. Dr. Juneman Abraham, Vice Rector for Research and Technology Transfer. This meeting brought together the Editors in Chief of various academic journals affiliated with BINUS University. The key participants included Prof. Dr. ENG. Fergyanto E. Gunawan (CommIT Journal), Prof. Dr. Ir. Widodo Budiharto (IJCSHAI), Dr. Ir. Haryadi Sarjono (BBR), Muhamad Nanang Suprayogi, Ph.D. (BECOSS), Prof. Toto Rusmanto, Ph.D. (JAFA), and Prof. Dr. Dra. Mita Purbasari Wahidiyat (IJVCDC). Additionally, Heri Ngarianto, the Language and Layout Editor for EMACS, also contributed to the discussions.

The primary objective of this meeting was to gather feedback and insights from the Editors in Chief regarding their needs and challenges. The session aimed to explore how the Binus Journal Team could enhance support for the editorial processes of these journals, thereby improving publication quality and efficiency. Prof. Juneman Abraham emphasized the importance of collaborative dialogue to align the journals’ strategies with BINUS University’s overarching research goals.

Representing the Binus Journal Team were Dewi Novianti, S.Si., Eka Yanti Pangputri, S.S., Holil, S.Kom., Dina Nurfitria, S.Hum., and Atmawati, S.Kom. Their role was to present current support mechanisms and discuss potential improvements based on the editors’ inputs. The meeting highlighted BINUS University’s commitment to fostering academic excellence through robust journal management, ensuring that each publication upholds high standards of scholarly integrity and impact.
