Empowering Young Learners: Ethical Research and Writing Strategies
On September 24, 2024, the Center for Scientific Publication Studies (PSPI) of Relawan Jurnal Indonesia (RJI) held an online webinar focusing on practical research and writing strategies for young learners. Dr. Cahyo Seftyono, PSPI RJI Coordinator and lecturer at Universitas Negeri Semarang, moderated the event. Featured speakers included Dr. Ir. Fransina S. Latumahina, S. Hut., MP., IPU., ASEAN Eng, Chair of RJI Maluku and lecturer at Universitas Pattimura, and Dr. Eko Ariwidodo, M.Phil., Vice Chair of RJI East Java and faculty member at IAIN Madura.
A key highlight was Prof. Dr. Juneman Abraham, S.Psi., Vice Rector for Research and Technology Transfer at BINUS University and advisor to PSPI RJI. Prof. Juneman underlined the critical role of research ethics in upholding scientific integrity and ensuring credible academic outcomes. He encouraged young researchers to adopt open science principles and utilize digital tools that simplify the research and publication process, emphasizing the need for continuous learning and adaptability.
The two-hour webinar provided not only expert insights but also an engaging Q&A session, where participants actively discussed challenges in research and publication. The speakers offered practical advice, with Prof. Juneman focusing on the importance of embedding ethical considerations throughout the research journey to foster responsible and impactful scholarship.
