On October 2 and 11, 2024, BINUS University hosted the Pre-Intensive Workshop on Data Papers for Scopus at its Anggrek Campus, conducted in a hybrid format. Organized by the Research and Technology Transfer Office (RTTO), the workshop targeted BINUS faculty members, focusing on strategies for developing high-quality data papers aligned with Scopus indexing standards. The event was held in two batches, with the first batch on October 2 and the second on October 11, both marked by the same high level of enthusiasm and engagement from the participants.
The workshop featured Prof. Dr. Juneman Abraham, S.Psi., Vice Rector for Research and Technology Transfer at BINUS University, as the keynote speaker. His presentation emphasized the critical aspects of data preparation, efficient structuring, and the ethical principles required for producing impactful data-driven papers. Prof. Dr. Dra. Clara Herlina Karjo, M.Hum., Subject Content Specialist in Applied Linguistics, was among the participants and also played a key role, providing subject-specific insights to enrich the learning experience.
Throughout both sessions, participants explored the importance of well-prepared data and its role in enhancing research quality and visibility. The workshop aimed to equip faculty members with practical methods for crafting concise, relevant, and ethically sound data presentations, supporting their efforts to publish research in Scopus-indexed journals.
