Empowering Scopus Publications: Embracing Open Data, Open Contributorship, and Book Chapters
On September 9, 2024, BINUS University hosted a training session as part of the BREW Festival, focusing on supporting Scopus publications through innovative academic practices. The event, titled “Supporting Scopus Publication with New Academic Traditions: Open Data, Open Contributorship, and Book Chapter”, was held at BINUS University’s Syahdan Campus. Organized by the Research and Technology Transfer department in collaboration with BINUS Corporate Learning and Development (BCLND), the training aimed to provide researchers and academics with key insights into improving their publication impact by embracing new scholarly traditions.
Prof. Dr. Juneman Abraham, S.Psi., M.Si., Vice Rector of Research and Technology Transfer at BINUS University, served as the primary speaker. He explored the significance of open data, open contributorship, and book chapters as emerging trends that contribute to academic transparency, collaboration, and enhanced visibility in reputable platforms like Scopus. Prof. Abraham’s insights were designed to encourage participants to integrate these practices into their research activities to achieve broader recognition in the global academic community.
Moderated by Tommy Prayoga, M.Si., the session featured dynamic discussions and practical examples, offering participants actionable strategies to enhance their publication efforts.
