National Seminar: Building an Integrity-Based Academic Culture in Higher Education Towards Quality Education for Indonesia Emas 2045

The National Seminar titled Building an Integrity-Based Academic Culture in Higher Education Towards Quality Education for Indonesia Emas 2045 was held on September 7, 2024, at BINUS University Bekasi Campus. The seminar aimed to emphasize the importance of academic integrity and its role in shaping a quality education system that aligns with Indonesia’s vision of becoming a developed nation by 2045. With key leaders from the academic and research sectors, the event provided invaluable insights into the future of education in Indonesia. The seminar also attended by Representative of the Regional Higher Education Service Institution (LL Dikti) Region III and Dr. Agung Sudjatmoko, Head of IMAJI (Inisiatif Masyrakat Jurnal Indonesia)

One of the featured speakers was Prof. Dr. Juneman Abraham, S.Psi., Vice Rector of Research and Technology Transfer at BINUS University, who discussed the critical role of scientific integrity in fostering innovation and research within higher education. Dr. Laksana Tri Handoko, M.Sc., Head of the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), represented by Prof. Dr. Julwan Hendry Purba, Director of Functional Position Development and Professional Development of BRIN, shared strategies to boost national research capacities and drive innovation through ethical academic practices. Prof. Dr. Ade Maharani Adiandari, S.Sos., MM., Vice Rector of Academic Programs at Ngurah Rai University, highlighted how universities can integrate academic integrity into their curricula to produce skilled and ethical graduates.

The seminar was not only a platform for discussion but also a call to action for higher education institutions to contribute to Indonesia’s long-term educational goals. As the nation prepares for its 2045 milestone, fostering a culture of academic integrity remains central to ensuring the development of a robust, competitive, and ethical academic environment across Indonesia.
