Science Communication Guide: Bridging Academia and the Public
On July 22, 2024, the Science Communication Guide event took place at the Research Innovation Labs, BINUS University Anggrek Campus. This event aimed to provide BINUS faculty members with a comprehensive understanding of science communication. The goal was to equip participants with the skills needed to transform scientific activities and scholarly writing into content that can be easily understood by the general public.
The event was graced by the presence of notable speakers and guests. Tommy Parayoga, M.Psi., Downstreaming Section Head of Research and Technology Transfer at BINUS University, led the session with his insights on the subject. Prof. Dr. Juneman Abraham, M.Si., Vice Rector of Research and Technology Transfer at BINUS University, delivered an inspiring opening speech, emphasizing the importance of effective science communication. The event concluded with a closing speech by Dr. Nurlina, M.M., Senior Manager of the Research Office, Research and Technology Transfer at BINUS University, who highlighted the essential takeaways from the session.
The primary objective of the Science Communication Guide event was to enhance the ability of BINUS faculty members to communicate scientific concepts in a manner that is accessible to the broader community.
