Ministry of Health Visits BINUS University: A Showcase of Academic and Research Excellence
On July 1, 2024, the Ministry of Health visited BINUS University, where Ir. Budi Gunadi Sadikin, S.Si., CHFC., CLU., the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, was warmly welcomed by key figures from BINUS University. Among those present to greet the Minister were Ir. Bernard Gunawan, Chief Executive Officer of Bina Nusantara; Stephen Wahyudi Santoso, BSE, MSIST, CBDMP, President of BINUS Higher Education & Professional Services; George Wijaya Hadipoespito, M.Sc., MBA., Vice President of BINUS Higher Education & Professional Services; and Prof. Dr. Ir. Harjanto Prabowo, M.M., Vice President of BINUS Higher Education & Professional Services. The date of the event was also the date of BINUS University 43 anniversary.

During the visit, the Minister engaged in discussions about the various faculties at BINUS University, the ongoing research activities, and was shown a special room where BINUS’s research products were displayed. This provided an excellent opportunity for the university to showcase their advancements and innovations in various fields. The discussions highlighted the strong emphasis BINUS places on research and development, as well as their commitment to academic excellence. The event organizing was led by Johan, S.Kom., M.M., CDMS, Vice Rector Global Employability & Entrepreneurship. The Minister was set to have another meet-up with BINUS University students at the auditorium BINUS University.
Accompanying the Minister and the BINUS leaders in the special room were other prominent figures, including Dr. Nelly, S.Kom., M.M., CSCA, Rector of BINUS University, Prof. Dr. Juneman Abraham, S.Psi., M.Si., Vice Rector of Research & Technology Transfer; and Prof. Dr. Engkos Achmad Kuncoro, S.E., M.M., Vice Rector of Academic Development. Their presence underscored the collaborative effort between the university’s leadership and the Ministry of Health, aiming to foster closer ties and promote innovative research initiatives. Following the discussions and showcase, the Minister and the BINUS representatives proceeded to the Auditorium at BINUS University Anggrek Campus for further activities.
