BINUS University Visits Advanced Institute of Industrial Technology (AIIT) in Japan for Collaborative Discussions
On June 26, 2024, a delegation from BINUS University visited the Advanced Institute of Industrial Technology (AIIT) in Japan for a study tour. The participants included Prof. Dr. Tirta N. Mursitama, Ph.D., Vice Rector of Collaboration and Global Engagement, Dr. Nurlina, M.M., Senior Manager of the Research Office, Brilly Andro Makalew, S.Kom., M.T.I., Digital Specialist for Research and Empowerment, and Dr. Syauqi Abdurrahman Abrori, Head of the International Publication Section. They were warmly welcomed by AIIT’s President, Prof. Dr. Hashimoto Hiroshi, and Professor Matsuo Tokuro, Head of the Master Program of Industrial Technology.
The visit commenced with a discussion led by Prof. Dr. Hashimoto Hiroshi, during which the participants exchanged insights on various academic and research initiatives. Following this, the BINUS delegation was given a comprehensive tour of the AIIT campus, highlighting its state-of-the-art facilities and laboratories. This tour provided an in-depth look at the infrastructure that supports AIIT’s cutting-edge industrial technology programs, fostering an appreciation for the institute’s commitment to innovation and excellence.
The final agenda item focused on exploring potential collaborations between BINUS University and AIIT. Discussions centered around joint research projects, particularly in the fields of facility management and student research opportunities. Both institutions expressed a keen interest in establishing a sustainable partnership that would benefit their respective academic communities, enhance research capabilities, and provide enriched learning experiences for their students.
