Fostering Intellectual Property Collaboration: Highlights from Halal Bi Halal AKHKI 2024 and FGD

The event Halal Bi Halal AKHKI 2024 and Focus Group Discussion (FGD) took place at the Thematic Function Room in ITS Tower, Niffaro Park, Jakarta, on Tuesday, May 7, 2024. The occasion saw the presence of key figures in the field, including Drs. Yasmon, M.L.S., Director of Cooperation and Education at the Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DJKI), Ministry of Law & Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia, and Dra. Sri Lastami, S.T., M.IPL., Director of Patents, Integrated Circuit Layout Design, and Trade Secrets at the same institution. Additionally, members and officials of the Indonesian Intellectual Property Consultants Association (AKHKI) attended, along with representatives from BINUS University’s Research and Technology Transfer, Anzaludin Samsinga Perbangsa, S.Kom., M.M.S.I, PSM I., Research Governance and Ethics Section Head, and Yohanes Albert Kembarenta, S.A.B.,  Intellectual Property Staff

The event commenced with an opening address by Drs. Yasmon, setting the tone for cordial interactions and productive discussions. Following this, a FGD on patents was facilitated by Dra. Sri Lastami, providing a platform for stakeholders to delve into pertinent issues and exchange insights. The overarching aim of the event was to foster communication and collaboration among participants, with a specific focus on enhancing the patent landscape for research outcomes. By bringing together government representatives, industry professionals, and academia, the event sought to build synergies that could contribute to the advancement of intellectual property rights and innovation in Indonesia.

Through Halal bi Halal and FGD, the event embodied a holistic approach to networking and knowledge exchange. The engagement of both government officials and academic experts underscored the importance of multi-stakeholder collaboration in addressing complex issues related to intellectual property.
