Advancing Academic Excellence: BINUS University’s Journal Development Meeting

On Thursday, December 14, 2023, a significant meeting took place at BINUS University, bringing together the Vice Rector for Research and Technology Transfer along with the representatives of various academic journals published by the university. The primary agenda of this gathering was to deliberate on the developmental plans for the journals in the upcoming year of 2024. Among the key participants were Prof. Dr. Juneman Abraham, M.Si., the Vice Rector Research and Technology Transfer BINUS University, Dr. Nurlina, M.M., Senior Manager Research and Technology Transfer Office (RTTO), and Dewi Novianti, S.Si., Journal Publication Officer of RTTO.

Representatives from several journals managed by BINUS University were also present, including Indonesian Journal of Visual Culture, Design, and Cinema (IJVCDC), Journal of Applied Finance and Accounting (JAFA), The Winners, Business Economic, Communication, and Social Sciences Journal (BECOSS), Social Economics and Ecology International Journal (SEEIJ), Journal of ASEAN Studies (JAS), and Engineering, Mathematics, and Computer Science Journal (EMACS). It is noteworthy that prior meetings had been conducted with Humaniora and Lingua Cultura, indicating a systematic approach to engaging with the diverse spectrum of academic publications under the university’s purview.

Throughout the meeting, Prof. Juneman emphasized the aspiration for all journals to evolve into esteemed academic publications within their respective fields of expertise. This aspiration underscores the university’s overarching commitment to advancing scholarly discourse and contributing meaningfully to the academic community.
