Updating SINTA Data for Grant Opportunities
Binus University’s Research and Technology Transfer Office organized a Workshop on Updating SINTA (Science and Technology Index) Data to Optimize Opportunities for Receiving Grants from the Ministry of Education and Culture. The event aimed to empower faculty members with the knowledge and skills needed to enhance their SINTA profiles, ultimately improving their chances of securing research grants. This hybrid event took place in Room 623 at Binus University and via Zoom online meeting, making it accessible to a wider audience.
The event commenced with an opening speech by Dr. Noerlina, S.Kom., M.M., Senior Manager of the Research and Technology Transfer Office at Binus University. Dr. Noerlina welcomed the attendees and highlighted the importance of SINTA in the academic world, emphasizing how it can significantly impact research opportunities and institutional recognition. The main speaker for the workshop was Supria, S.Si., M.Sc., a Binus University SINTA Verificator. Supria brought in-depth knowledge and insights into the intricacies of updating SINTA profiles. He began by explaining the significance of maintaining accurate and up-to-date SINTA profiles, stressing their direct influence on research funding allocation.
The workshop was moderated by Dr. Syauqi Abdurrahman Abrori, International Publication Section Head at the Research and Technology Transfer Office, Binus University. Dr. Abrori facilitated the Q&A session, ensuring that participants could seek clarifications and further information on specific aspects of SINTA profile management. The Workshop proved to be a valuable and informative event for Binus University’s faculty members. Attendees, as many as 270 participants, left with a clearer understanding of the importance of maintaining an updated SINTA profile and a renewed enthusiasm for harnessing this tool to enhance their research endeavors.
