Technocratic Design: A Key Component of Indonesia’s National Medium Term Development Plan 2025-2029

In a recent workshop organized by the Directorate of Higher Education, Science, and Technology at the Ministry of National Development Planning/National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas), experts and leaders came together to discuss the technocratic design of Indonesia’s National Medium Term Development Plan for 2025-2029. This crucial event brought forward an innovative approach to shaping the nation’s future, emphasizing the significance of structuring institutional architecture for effective national development.

Technocratic design emphasizes the importance of data-driven decision-making. Institutions should have access to accurate, timely, and relevant data to inform their actions and strategies. Prof. Dr. Tirta N. Mursitama, Ph.D., Vice Rector of Collaboration and Global Engagement and spokesperson for Group 2 of Private Universities (Kemdikbudristek) in the Western Regional Focus Group Discussion of the National Medium Term Development Plan for Higher Education was alongside Prof. dr. Fasli Jalal, Sp.GK., Ph.D., the team leader of Group 2 of Private Universities (Kemdikbudristek), a respected figure in the field.
