Binus University Mentoring and Training to Satu University Lecturers

On September 11, 2023, an online workshop was organized by the Research and Technology Transfer Office (RTTO), to empower and enlighten Satu University lecturers on two crucial aspects of academia: Introducing Google Scholar and Writing a Scientific Article. The event, spearheaded by Dr. Nurlina, M.M., featured prominent speakers Supria, M.Sc., and Dra. Endang Ernawaty, M.Lib. both seasoned experts in research and publication. Dr. Nurlina, M.M., set the tone for the workshop with her opening speech, emphasizing the importance of knowledge sharing and collaboration in academia.

The first part of the workshop, “Introducing Google Scholar,” was conducted by M.Lib. Supria, M.Sc. Supria provided insightful guidance on how to effectively utilize Google Scholar, a powerful tool for accessing scholarly literature. Participants learned how to harness its advanced search features, create alerts for specific research interests, and maximize its citation tracking capabilities. The second part of the workshop, “Writing a Scientific Article,” was led by Dra. Endang Ernawaty, an esteemed authority in academic writing. She delved into the intricacies of structuring research papers, adhering to academic writing conventions, and crafting compelling abstracts and conclusions. Dra. Ernawaty’s practical tips and real-world examples resonated with the participants, equipping them with the tools needed to enhance their publication skills.
