Research Product Showcase at Binus Research and Innovation Expo 15 June 2023
Binus University Alam Sutera Campus was abuzz with excitement as the Research and Innovation Expo 2023 unfolded on June 15. Organized by the Research and Technology Transfer Binus University, the event aimed to introduce the institution’s research products to industrial partners, fostering collaboration and innovation in various fields. The Expo proved to be a resounding success, featuring a range of engaging activities that captivated attendees.
The focal point of the Expo was the Research Product Showcase, which took place in the lobby and atrium of Binus University’s Alam Sutera Campus. This exhibition featured a diverse range of cutting-edge research products developed by the university’s esteemed faculty members. Attendees had the opportunity to interact directly with the researchers, gaining insights into their work and exploring potential collaborative opportunities.

Research Product Showcase commenced with an atmosphere filled with enthusiasm and anticipation as participants and guests gathered at the lobby of Binus University’s Alam Sutera Campus. Pisang TORPEDO, the somaclonal variation of banana explant; Plastic Brick, the brick that is made from plastic-waste, and Langitara Drone, a specialized program drone were among other research products displayed. The lobby buzzed with excitement as attendees moved from one booth to another, engaging in dynamic conversations with the faculty members who had passionately worked on these innovative projects. The researchers eagerly explained their breakthroughs, demonstrating the real-world applications and potential impact of their work.
Public lecture from Mr. Bahlil Lahadia, the Minister of Investment/Chair of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) of the Republic of Indonesia and MoU signing ceremony with the Rector of Binus University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Harjanto Prabowo, M.M. and Minister Bahlil Lahadalia were part of the Expo. They were followed by a panel discussion of experts, opening of Binus Joint Innovation Center (BJIC) and Binus BRIDGE apps launching.
