Electronic Braille Introduction to Komunitas Fajar Harapan
On June 21, 2023, the Computer Engineering Binus Team collaborated with the Visually Impaired Community of Fajar Harapan to organize an event at Binus University Syahdan Campus. The main objective of this gathering was to introduce the visually impaired community to Electronic Braille, a groundbreaking tool designed to convert digital writing into braille and display it on an e-braille device.

The development of Electronic Braille was a significant breakthrough, as it allowed the visually impaired individuals to access a wide range of digital books. The tool was seamlessly connected wirelessly to a database server, enabling users to choose their preferred electronic books for conversion into braille. This innovative technology opened new doors of opportunity for the visually impaired community, empowering them to explore and read more books than ever before. During the event, visually impaired participants were provided with hands-on experience with Electronic Braille.
They were guided through the entire process, from selecting books to navigating through various sections while reading.
