Binus Bridge Apps Launching at Research and Innovation Expo 15 June 2023

Binus University Alam Sutera Campus was buzzing with excitement on 15th June 2023 as the highly anticipated Research and Innovation Expo kicked off. Organized by the Research and Technology Transfer department of Binus University, the event aimed to introduce the institution’s remarkable research products to potential industrial partners.

The Research Product Expo held at the lobby of Binus University Alam Sutera Campus was a vibrant showcase of the cutting-edge research projects undertaken by the university’s dedicated faculty members. The exhibition featured a diverse range of products and prototypes, spanning various fields such as technology, engineering, healthcare, and more. Industrial partners and visitors had the opportunity to interact with the faculty members, gaining valuable insights into their innovative projects and exploring potential avenues for collaboration.

Another exciting moment during the Expo was the opening of the Binus Joint International Conference (BJIC). This state-of-the-art facility aims to foster collaborative conference between Binus University and industry partners. With the BJIC’s cutting-edge resources and collaborative environment, Binus University is poised to push the boundaries of innovation even further. The highlight of the Expo was a Public Lecture featuring esteemed guest speaker Mr. Bahlil Lahadalia, the Minister of Investment and Chairman of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) of the Republic of Indonesia. Minister Lahadalia delivered an inspiring talk, emphasizing the importance of research and innovation in driving economic growth and attracting investments. His presence underscored the government’s commitment to supporting research initiatives and collaboration between academia and industry.

In a significant moment of collaboration, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Minister Bahlil Lahadalia and Binus University’s Rector, Prof. Dr. Ir. Harjanto Prabowo, M.M. The MoU marked a significant milestone in fostering stronger ties between the university and the government, facilitating future collaborations and knowledge exchange to advance research and innovation in the country.

Additionally, the Expo witnessed the much-anticipated launching of the BRIDGE Apps, a groundbreaking suite of applications developed by Binus University. These apps are designed to bridge the gap between academia and industry, providing seamless communication and collaboration platforms for researchers, industrial partners, and other stakeholders. The launch of BRIDGE Apps marked a significant step forward in enhancing the synergy between research and industry, enabling a more streamlined and impactful research ecosystem.

A dynamic Panel Discussion brought together experts from academia, industry, and government to delve into critical topics surrounding research and innovation.
