On July 31, 2026, the Department of Research and Technology Transfer (RTT) at BINUS University, in collaboration with BINUS Corporate Learning and Development (BCLND), successfully organized an online session entitled “Scopus Bootcamp #2: Kick-off Scopus Bootcamp 2026 Batch 2.” The session featured two facilitators, namely Brilly Andro Makalew, S.Kom., M.T.I., Research and Empowerment Digital Specialist, and Hilda Farida, S.P., M.Sc., Research Enrichment Section Head at Research and Technology Transfer, BINUS University.

The kick-off session was designed to establish a structured mentoring framework that supports faculty members in developing collaborative research papers for publication in Scopus-indexed outlets. The session introduced the mentor–mentee matchmaking mechanism, which is organized based on registration data and considers existing mentoring arrangements from the previous batch. It also outlined the respective responsibilities of mentors and mentees, including research topic development, task allocation, regular mentoring sessions, and the preparation of manuscripts. To ensure clear and transparent contributions among collaborators, participants were introduced to the Contributor Roles Taxonomy (CRediT), which provides a framework for defining individual responsibilities throughout the research and publication process.

Furthermore, the session explored potential publication outlets, including Scopus-indexed international journals, Scopus-indexed conference proceedings, data papers, and book chapters. Particular attention was given to opportunities such as the BINUS Joint International Conference (BJIC) and We Are Student Conference, which provides a dedicated publication opportunity for mentors and mentees, with undergraduate or master’s students involved as first or corresponding authors. Participants were also encouraged to establish their research topics, agree on individual contributions, determine publication targets, and arrange regular mentoring clinics every two weeks in accordance with the program timeline. Through this structured approach, Scopus Bootcamp Batch 2 aims to strengthen research collaboration and facilitate the development of quality scholarly publications.

On July 07, 2026, the Department of Research and Technology Transfer (RTT) at BINUS University, in collaboration with Binus Corporate Learning and Development (BCLND)  successfully organized an online workshop entitled “Research as a Career Launchpad: Memandu Mahasiswa Membangun Portofolio Profesional Lewat Jalur Riset” This event featured insightful coaching sessions delivered by distinguished speaker, notably Brilly Andro Makalew, S.Kom., M.T.I., Research and Empowerment Digital Specialist, and Hilda Farida, S.P., M.Sc., Research Enrichment Section Head at Research and Technology Transfer, BINUS University.

The workshop was designed to equip participants with the ability to articulate the strategic value of research in supporting students’ academic and professional career development. Participants were guided in designing competency-based research portfolios, identifying adaptive research topics aligned with industry trends and career aspirations, and utilizing credible research resources and institutional support to strengthen student research projects. Furthermore, the session enabled participants to develop strategies for establishing external research internship partnerships and aligning faculty research roadmaps with students’ research projects to foster sustainable collaboration and increase research outputs, including publications in Scopus-indexed journals.
