One of the biggest challenges faced by higher education institutions at the moment is to improve the quality of managerial decisions, especially for the Human Resources Management which is one of the most important components of the organization. Educational institutions strive to be more efficient in process by using technology to manage and support the decision-making procedures or to help them set new strategies and plans for human resource management. One way to assist in decision-making and improve the management of human resources is to provide new knowledge related to the educational process that occurs in the Higher Education Institution. This knowledge can be obtained by extracting historical and operational data residing in operational databases using data warehouse and data mining techniques. Data mining techniques are analytical tools that can be used to extract meaningful knowledge from large data set. This study aims to design a data warehouse and data mining in the context of the higher education system to improve the quality of managerial decisions, especially for the Human Resources Management department.
